Who Am I?
Muhammad Wasay Mir is a geopolitical risk analyst with a background spanning international relations, journalism, and strategy consulting.
Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Wasay's journey began at Aitchison College, where he graduated as a gold medalist. His pursuit of global perspectives led him to Northwestern University in Qatar, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Dean's Award.
Driven by curiosity about international affairs and cross-cultural dynamics, Wasay has built his career across three continents, working with diverse organizations from international media outlets to cultural institutions and development agencies. This global experience informs his focus on energy markets, emerging technologies, and geopolitical risk.
He is currently an Emerging Tech Fellow at Johns Hopkins SAIS, where he is pursuing a Master’s in International Relations with a concentration in International Economics and Finance. He also serves as an Artificial Intelligence & Digital Innovation Consultant with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), supporting AI integration initiatives in East Africa.
Based between Washington D.C. and Doha, he continues to provide strategic insights for diverse global audiences.
